The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, fiends, and dark forces increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Seekers and Planners tables.

Viewers can anticipate learning which adventurers will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
